Logtown, the Legacy of Ordinary Places
Logtown is a 63-page, spiral-bound booklet following the history of the Logtown mining camp, located on California State Route 49 southwest of Placerville. The booklet follows Logtown from its beginning during the California Gold Rush through the revival of placer mining during the Great Depression. It was produced in association with Pacific Legacy, Inc., under contract to the California Department of Transportation. (Photo courtesy El Dorado County Historical Museum.)
